As the name implies, these recordings
were made in John Kane's home, where he served as engineer as well as performer. Representing a portion of his
vast repertoire, 6 albums (Homemade Chopin, Homemade 1994 Recital, Homemade Mozart, Homemade Rachmaninoff, Homemade
Mozart, vol. 2 and Homemade Liszt) were originally released 1994-2000, and are now available through
this website. Homemade 2010 Recital (with major works of Bach, Mozart and Schubert,
each in B-flat major) and Homemade Chopin Favorites were recorded in February/March
of 2010. Homemade Brahms was recorded in September, 2012. Chopin 24
Etudes was recorded in January, 2013, and Brahms Two-Piano Works (with both parts played by Mr.
Kane) was recorded in December, 2013. Last Piano Sonatas, containing those final works of Mozart, Haydn
& Beethoven, was recorded in February, 2014. Homemade Schumann was recorded in May, 2014.
Homemade 2014 Recital was recorded in October, 2014 and contains major works (each in E-Flat major)
by Bach, Beethoven and Mussorgsky. Homemade Mozart Sonatas (Complete) was recorded January -
March, 2015. Homemade Brahms, vol. 3 contains a two-piano version of the Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-Flat
Major, Op. 83, and a transcription for left hand alone of J.S. Bach's Chaconne from his Violin Partita No. 2, recorded
in December, 2015. Homemade Beethoven Sonatas consists of 9 CDs with all 32 piano sonatas,
recorded in 2016. Homemade Ravel (recorded in 2017), contains Prelude, Pavane pour une
infante defunte, Le Tombeau de Couperin and Gaspard de la nuit. Homemade 2018 Recital
includes 2 Preludes & Fugues (C Minor, WTC Books I & II) by Bach, 4 Sonatas by Scarlatti, Haydn's Sonata in C
Minor XVI/20 & Schubert's Sonata in C Minor, D. 958. Homemade 2019 Recital contains
Bach's C Major Prelude & Fugue (WTC Book I), Fantasy, Op. 17 by Schumann, Haydn's Sonata in C Major, XVI/50 &
Schubert's Wanderer Fantasy, D. 760. Homemade 2020 Recital includes Bach's B-flat Minor
Prelude & Fugue, WTC I (BWV 867), Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor, Op. 35 & the original
1913 edition of the 2nd Piano Sonata in B-flat Minor, Op. 36 by Rachmaninoff. Homemade 2021 Recital
contains Bach's Prelude & Fugue in A-Flat Major from Books I & II, Haydn's Sonata in A-Flat Major,
Hob. XVI/43, Schubert's Impromptu in A-Flat Major, Op. 142, No.2, Schumann's Carnaval, Op. 9, Debussy's
Bruyères & Moszkowski's Etude in A-Flat Major. Homemade Haydn Sonatas includes
Sonata in E Minor, Hob. XVI/34, Sonata in G Major, Hob. XVI/40, Sonata in D Major, Hob. XVI/42, Sonata in F Major, Hob. XVI/47,
Sonata in C Major, Hob. XVI/48, Sonata in D Major, Hob. XVI/51 & Sonata in D Major, Hob. XVI/37. Homemade
Debussy includes Deux Arabesques, Suite Bergamasque, Poissons d'or, Valse Romantique, 5 Préludes
(Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l'air du soir, Des pas sur la neige, La fille aux cheveux de lin, La Cathédral
engloutie & Feux d'Artifice), Ballade, Reverie & L'Isle Joyeuse. Homemade Beethoven Variations
contains two works: 32 Variations in C Minor, WoO 80 and the monumental 33 Variations in C Major on a Waltz by
Anton Diabelli, Op. 120. Homemade 2022 Recital features Mozart's Fantasie in D Minor,
K. 397, Rondo in A Minor, K. 511, Rondo in D Major, K. 485 & Adagio in B Minor, K. 540; Beethoven's
Für Elise, WoO 59, Rondo in C Major, Op. 51, No. 1, Rondo in G Major, Op. 51, No. 2 and Rondo
a capriccio "Rage Over a Lost Penny" Op. 129; concluding with Mendelssohn's Variations Sérieuses,
Op. 54. During 2022, 3 albums of Homemade Schubert Sonatas and 2 albums of Homemade Haydn Sonatas
were recorded, including popular works and several lesser-known sonatas by these composers. In early 2023, Homemade
Chopin Waltzes was released, containing the complete (19) waltzes & Fantaisie, Op. 49. Homemade
Chopin Preludes includes 24 Preludes, Op. 28, Prelude in C-Sharp Minor, Op. 45 and Prelude in A-Flat Major, Op. Posth.
and Barcarolle, Op. 60, recorded in July, 2023. Homemade Schubert Sonatas, vols. 4-6, recorded
in 2023, complete the set of Schubert Sonatas with 8 additional Sonatas: E Major, D. 157; E Minor, D. 566; E Major (5 Pieces),
D. 459; C Major, D. 279; A-Flat Major, D. 557; E-Flat Major, D. 568; B Major, D. 575; and A Minor, D. 845, The complete
Schubert Sonatas are also available in a 7-CD set. Homemade Chopin Nocturnes features the complete
Nocturnes, 21 in all, recorded in October, 2023. Bach: 6 Partitas is a 2-volume set containing Partitas
Nos. 1, 2, 5 & 6, recorded September, 2024. Works for Left Hand was recorded December, 2024 and
features Scriabin's Prelude & Nocturne for Left Hand, Op. 9, Saint-Saëns 6 Etudes for Left Hand, Op. 135, and the
Brahms transcription of Bach's (violin) Chaconne for left hand alone. 2025 Recital features 6 works,
including Haydn's Sonata No. 59, Mozart's Fantasy, K. 575 (recorded in January, 2024), 2 Scherzi of Schubert, MacDowell's
Woodland Sketches, Op. 51 and Prokofiev's Prelude in C Manjor, Op. 12, No. 7 (recorded May, 2025).
